Stay HUNGRY For Public Worship

David longed to be brought out of this wilderness, not that he might see his friends again, and be restored to the pleasures and excitement of the court, but that he might have access to the sanctuary - to once more worship Him in all the "beauty of holiness," as he had so often seen previously. David longed for the presence and the power of God in the services of public worship - the praises, the prayers, the rejoicings, the evidences of His divine presence.

Church family, in many ways we too are in a “wilderness” right now. And, just like David, we must remain HUNGRY to worship together and behold His Presence in the sanctuary. Until then, let us continue to read God’s Word, seeking Him as a thirsty man looks for water in a dry and thirsty land.

God’s Word tells us:

Psalm 34:1-3: Psalm 42:1-4

Psalm 63:1-5; Psalm 84:1-4

Psalm 92:13-15; Psalm 95:1-6 Psalm 100:1-6; Psalm 118:19-24

Psalm 122:1

Luke 4:16-21; Acts 2:41-47

Hebrews 10:22-25

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Lord, help us to stay hungry and thirsty!!
